On September 22nd the board of Robertson County: Our Land, Our Lives elected Shellie Lyon as Secretary.
Shellie has been instrumental in establishing the local food bank and active with the efforts to preserve and revitalize the Carnegie Library in Franklin. We think she will make a splendid addition to the Board.
We extend our gratitude to Lisa Miller who has been our Secretary since we formulated our by-laws.
Lisa's experience with other small local groups was invaluable in helping get the foundation pieces of our by-laws and policies right. She took responsibility for ensuring that our meetings were structured and run according to appropriate standards. And, she did most of the work to be sure our newsletters got copied, stuffed, labeled, and mailed.
Lisa has graciously agreed to continue helping with the newsletters. Her new work schedule prevents her from taking on the same level of activity, and she decided to resign. We would not have made it this far without her and are thrilled that she will continue to be involved in the group.
